Toronto time explained
Toronto is on Eastern Time, identical to New York in both offset and changeover dates. Canada spans six time zones from Newfoundland to the Pacific, and Newfoundland famously runs on a half-hour offset that puts it thirty minutes ahead of the Atlantic provinces.
Toronto does observe daylight saving, so its offset from UTC changes twice a year. The time above already accounts for whichever is currently in force.
Reaching Toronto
Toronto shares its working day with New York exactly, so anything scheduled for one works for the other. London is reachable until roughly midday Eastern, after which the British day has ended.
